HR Debatable

Earlier this year, Fortune reported that 80% of new hires who receive poor onboarding plan to quit, especially if they are remote workers. But it turns out that getting your onboarding right isn't that simple. According to a 2023 onboarding survey report by GLEAN, 81% of new hires say they feel overwhelmed with information throughout the onboarding process. If we add to this, the fact that on average it can cost companies up to three or sometimes four times the position's salary to hire a new employee, one can ask the question how much sense it makes to pour a lot of resources into recruiting new employees without first having your onboarding on point.
